Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect after I submit my job application to Bittersweet Farms?

A member of the Human Resources Team will review your application and contact you if anything further is needed. If your application is selected for an interview, Human Resources will contact you directly. If you have not been contacted, nothing further is needed, and no further updates are available.

Does Bittersweet Farms serve children and youth?

Our residential programs are exclusively for adults (18+). We serve adolescents (12+) in our social and recreational programs, along with our Pemberville Transition Program. Learn more about these programs and age eligibility requirements here.

Does Bittersweet Farms currently have any client openings for residential placement?

We do not currently have client openings for residential placement. In order to be considered for residential services in the future, an application for services must be completed. The applicant will be placed on the waitlist for all desired services. There are no exceptions to this process.

If I have applied for services, how will I know when there is an opening?

Applicants are contacted when there is an opening and their name is up for review. At that time, we inquire whether the applicant is still interested in being considered for the opening and request additional information as needed.

Does Bittersweet Farms accept in-kind donations, such as art supplies, clothing, etc.?

We accept in-kind donations on an as-needed basis. If you are interested in making an in-kind donation, please contact Julie Champa, and we will collaborate with the appropriate program to determine if we have a need.
