While it may be helpful, it is not necessary to have previous experience serving individuals with autism. Interested candidates should, however, already possess the work ethic and compassion required for this unique environment. Additionally, year-round outdoor and physical activity is an important part of Bittersweet’s philosophy and farmstead model. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk up to five miles.

Groundskeeping Specialist- Whitehouse, Ohio

Bittersweet is seeking a full-time Groundskeeping Specialist to assist with development and implementation of the grounds vocational and habilitation programs. The Groundskeeping Specialist will be part of our Day Program, Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM. The position will be responsible for providing skills assessment and enhancement based on each participant’s individual needs. This person must work to ensure the health and safety of participants while providing an environment that fosters both growth and development. This person will be responsible for teaching participants about proper usage of all equipment and tools utilized in the area.
