While it may be helpful, it is not necessary to have previous experience serving individuals with autism. Interested candidates should, however, already possess the work ethic and compassion required for this unique environment. Additionally, year-round outdoor and physical activity is an important part of Bittersweet’s philosophy and farmstead model. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk up to five miles.

Groundskeeping Specialist- Whitehouse, Ohio
We are seeking a full-time Groundskeeping Specialist to support the development and delivery of our grounds-based habilitation programs. In this role, you will guide participants in learning new skills, ensure a safe and supportive environment, and model proper use of tools and equipment. You will also take an active role in maintaining the natural spaces that make Bittersweet Farms unique.
Seasonal Gardens Worker (Part-Time)- Whitehouse, Ohio
We are seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Gardens Worker responsible for supporting the Gardens Program with weeding, planting, watering, harvesting, related crop and greenhouse care.
This is an entry level position beginning in March and ending in September.
Social Recreation Direct Support Professional (Part-Time)- Whitehouse, Ohio
Bittersweet Farms is seeking a motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support our Social Recreation Program (SRP). This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a flexible, low-hour monthly schedule.
This position averages 12 hours per month, including every SRP event and beginning in June will move to Day Time Summer camp hours.
